Buhay Bahay-Bahayan

Every year, my wife and I plan to have one major trip (out of the country) and two minor trips (within the Philippines). That’s how OC we are when it comes to money and budgeting. And on Monday (January 25), we will be hitting our major trip of the year.

When we planned this trip, Yuan was supposed to be leaving first week of January. But then their papers and visas weren’t ready yet so their staying until the first week on February. So as much as Nong-nong and Nang-nang want to spend time with him, we’ll just have to take this trip and be back on Sunday.

It was late last year when we first heard the bad news. We all thought that we still had a lot of time together. But we don’t.

For about three weeks already, my wife and I have been dropping by my in-laws everyday.

Which explains why I cut short our holiday visit to my parents in the province.

Which explains why I spent Christmas and New Year in Manila.

Which explains the lack of posts and why I haven’t “visited”  (I promise to catch up soon).

We’re spending as much time with him as we can.

Yuan is leaving. In about three weeks, he and his dad will join his mom in New Zealand.

It will be hard letting him go knowing that it will be a very long time before we’ll see him again. He will surely be terribly missed!
