Moon Garden, Part 1
We were looking for something out of the ordinary, something different from the usual hotel feel. After days of Internet search, I found it. The Moon Garden in Tagaytay. Reservation is as easy an e-mail to Peter of Moon Garden. An overnight stay in one of their eight casitas will set you back Php3000, inclusive of VAT and service charges. An added breakfast for two will cost an additional Php500, which we did not get since we have lunch reservations at Hawaiian Bar-b-que, The Boutique.
Here are pictures going to our charming little casita, our home for the night.
Inside the casita: (1) A huge dresser with mirror and partial view of the table. (2) Another smaller cabinet, the TV is right on top, and partial view of the table. (3) A view of the lush green garden from the room. (4) The huge bed.
Notice that right behind the bed wall is the bathroom. No doors folks! So much for privacy.
We have stayed in similar room when we went to Bohol a few years back, so this wasn’t that much of a surprise. (1) Shower stall. (2) His and hers wash area right at the back of the bed wall. (3) Toilet with bidet. No tabo in sight! (4) Bathroom floor. Water tends to accumulate here, along with the soap suds, so it gets a little bit messy.
Finally, a small area to lounge and have tea and merienda. It would have been even better if a small tub with hot water is also built here.
Ooops! Before I forget, let me leave you with this creepy picture of a huge painting inside our room. INSIDE OUR ROOM! Notice face hiding in the bushes and the eye staring (circled in red).
SVD Road, San Jose, Tagaytay City

Nice photos!
I agree, that painting’s creepy man. They should have thought twice before putting that in a guest room.
About the toilet being directly behind your bed, does it have a door at least? Medyo uncomfortable if walang door, if you know what I mean. And the tabo… how can they even miss the tabo? All hotels in the Philippines MUST have a tabo! LOL!

Garando: Re the painting: Good thing we didn’t get nightmares. We got this feeling like somebody’s watching. :ghost: :skeleton:
Re the bathroom: NO DOOR, not even a curtain. You are so right about the tabo. They should have one even though there’s a bidet.
Ganda ng Moon Garden di ba? I went there last year and had a wonderful time. I didn’t go out of the Bed & Breakfast. I just stayed there for 2 days. Kain, tulog lang. nagpa-room service pa kami. LOL.

Dyosa: Your post was actually one of the reasons why we stayed there. Walang creepy painting sa room nyo? ?
Thankfully walang creepy painting. Baka hindi ako makatulog nun. I just hated it when after dinner, while walking to our casita, all these huge frogs were hopping about and touching my bare legs. Haha, ang slimy kasi!
But I had a great time in Moon Garden. Relaxing and away from it all talaga sya.
